As I have gained wisdom through the years, most noticeably by my ever-increasing head of gray hairs combined with better decision making and insights due to the life of hard knocks, it appears that my allergies have been getting worse along with the positive area of personal growth, so I scheduled a visit to a Rock Hill ear nose throat specialist who also happens to be a neighbor.
My Doctor, CT Jones of the Carolina Ear, Nose, Throat & Audiology Center told me that exactly one third of his practice relates to the diagnosis and treatment of people with allergy problems, so he assured me that I was in good hands, and that what I was experiencing may be uncomfortable, but there was a strong likelihood that we could either cure me of allergies or get them to a more manageable and livable condition. As an allergist Rock Hill with many years of experience, I could only trust him, and it is a good thing I did.
Dr. Jones performed numerous tests, including blood, as well as standard ear, nose and throat tests to determine if there might be a unique cause to my growing “allergy” problem and had me see his throat doctor Rock Hill who was on staff. He also ran me through a series of tests for inhalants such as trees, mold, dust, animals, grass, and weeds, to food and chemical allergies.
His conclusion was that my allergies were getting worse due to a new brand of body wash I had started using a year ago. I liked the smell and how it made my skin feel, but there are some chemicals in it that exacerbate my allergy condition. So, I switched body wash products and have gone back to my normal way of life.
