My mother grew up eating a lot of prunes and drinking prune juice. As a child, I never really liked the taste. I have since learned, these are foods high in fiber and are great to regulate your bowels. In talking with a neighbor who lives down the street, I found out that pears have more fiber than prunes. I called my mother and shared the info with her. She asked me in disbelief and I assured her the info was true. I told her about my reliable source of info. It came from a well-known health site online. She decided she would do some additional health research for herself.
